Summary
His early years were molded in the Washington, D.C. Public School System where he attended Deanwood Elementary, Browne Junior High and Armstrong High School where he excelled in sports as a member of the All-City Baseball and Track Teams. In 1957 he moved to Chicago which proved to be a gateway that opened up many new avenues for his professional mentoring and personal experiences. His professional experiences in Chicago included masterminding and publishing Tone Magazine in 1957, Musically Speaking Magazine in 1957, Marquee Magazine in the 1960s and the Westside Journal in the 1970s.
