Summary

[Connie L. Lindsey] will talk about how Black women can navigate what she calls "the white-water- rafting world of the C suite," where it's not your degree, or LQ. but your "E.Q.," your "emotional intelligence," that will get you to the next level.

Talton says she looks forward to laying out what she looks for in a "mentee." She believes in giving back to her community and motivating up-and-comers but believes "you have to be willing to invest in yourself before I invest in you," she said

"Women's leadership is powerful, yet different than men's," said Hermene Hartman, editor and publisher of N'Digo. "It is more caring and more philanthropic than their male counterparts. Wednesday's panelists include Donna Brazile, professor, author and syndicated columnist; Sheila Taitón, vice president of Cisco Globalization; and Connie L. Lindsey, chair of the national board of directors for the Girl Scouts, USA, and also executive vice president of the Northern Trust Company.
