Back to Tried & True - Merri Green, creator of "Expo for Today's Black Woman "who back in May changed the expo's focus and name to "Uplift Chicago" in response to one of its major corporate sponsors, returns to her original concept of a consumer exposition that celebrates the aspirations and achievements of African American women in Chicago because the 2007 change proved to be unsuccessful. "We made a mistake," Merri admits. "We are returning to a tried and true formula. Unfortunately, many people missed this year's expo because they weren't familiar with the new name." In the past, the threeday event attracted over 20,000 men and women.Golden Wedding Anniversary - wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Minor J.
