Please make plans now to join the people over at The Women's Treatment Center (TWTC), which is Chicago's premier not-for profit substance treatment facility for women and children, as they salute some of our city's most notables at their Annual Meet the Stars Gala on Thursday, May 3 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue.

The Stars of TWTC are women who have successfully completed treatment and have gone on to create bright new futures for themselves and their families. These remarkable women will receive TWTC's Star award and will share their emotional journey at this heartfelt affair. The Honorary Chairperson of the Gala is Merri Dee, WGN's Director of Community Relations; Merri Dee also serves on TWTC's Honorary Board of Directors. This sparkling evening of success will include a festive reception, elegant seated dinner as well as live and silent auctions.

The scope of this treatment includes social services, medical care and mental health services. Having served over 10,000 women and their children in the last 15 years, TWTC is designed to provide a variety of treatment services to women, eliminating the common barriers they typically face. It is one of the few substance abuse programs in the nation that can accommodate children in residential treatment, making TWTC particularly responsive to the needs of chemically dependent mothers. Proceeds from the Meet the Stars Gala will help support TWTC's ongoing work for programming benefiting children and the rebuilding of families.
