"[Lynette Williams] was a machinist for Bodine," [Yao Dinizulu] told the Defender. "One of the drill presses slipped down and got a hold of her shirt sleeve and started grabbing her and rotated and twisted her arm, so much so that she ended up with a case of rare Complex Regional Pain Disorder.

"Generally speaking, when an employer in a workers compensation case refers a doctor, it's almost like they are stuck with that doctor's opinion. But the company didn't like that doctor's opinion. So the company got another doctor who said Williams could go back to work."

"In December of 2001, she asked her supervisor if she could take vacation time, and not her money, because she took her money (already)," Dinizulu said. "The supervisor said yes. The company then fired her stating that she took time that she didn't have.
