Summary
The popular Spanish term for the word sangria means "blood" due to the dark red hue of the wine. This drink has been served since ancient times, as far back as the Roman era. There are many variations of sangria that developed around the country of Spain and the Mediterranean Sea thanks to the variety of fruits and wines available.
You can find sangria at most restaurants serving Spanish cuisine or "Tapas". Tapa is another Spanish term meaning "small plates". Or for us, appetizers! Sangria is the perfect beverage for large gatherings, or for winding down after a hard day at work.Want more Sangria recipes? I recommend this book entitled Sangria by Mittie Hellmich. You can pick up a copy at the Afrocentric Bookstore at 4655 S. King Drive. If you do, tell them Chef Dave said hi. Viva La Vida!!!See the full content of this document
